GEN - I'm Trying, I swear

So, I know it's been longer and longer between posts, but that doesn't mean I'm forgetting about this blog. Things have been getting increasingly hectic around here, starting with my acquisition of a new job. I am now a Tech and Gadgets writer for Examiner.com. As such, I'm already writing at least one article a day, and since I get paid for that one, this blog takes a bit of a back seat. I swear to you, though, I will try to update still. I've run out of hobbies, though, because I lost my list of ones that I was going to do. Also, LedgengT is dead to me now, as far as this site goes, as all he does is make excuses about why he hasn't written.
So yeah, I'm sorry, I'll get to work on it.
Also, if you want to help out, get me paid. It's simple, just visit my Examiner page here, comment on the articles, subscribe, and come back as often as you can. The more money I make with this job, the less I have to try to find another job, and the more free time I'll have to write. As well as the higher quality my Examiner articles, and these articles, will be.
Thanks for your continued support and patience in this trying time for this site. I swear to you, we will make it out in one piece, just don't let your end drop.
This is Alamane saying, peace out.

GEN - RAGE RAGE RAGE

Well, as any of you readers out there may have noticed, there is still a lack of a new update from Ledgendt. After I yelled at him for a bit about him not contributing, he promised to write an article as soon as he had the time. That was a week ago today. And I know he had time to write an article, because he had time to go hang out with some of our friends on Thursday. I'm thinking that if he doesn't write an article by the end of the week (I'm going to be harassing him more about it tomorrow and Thursday), I'm probably kicking him off the staff of this blog, then continuing on my own. Ledgendt, if you read this eventually, realize, I am serious about this one.

Aaaanyway, onto less rage subjects, I may or may not be getting a moderately to well paying job writing about tech. So if I do, any of you readers should totally check that out, it'll be an online thing, and it would seem that (if I get that job) I get paid by the page-view. I find out in two weeks. Oh, and any of you Twitter-folk out there should follow me, @mentalstrike I tweet at least once a week, though most often at least once a day. And I'm also thinking on moving this thing over to Squarespace once I get some cash. And my lappytop.

GEN - Well...this is embarassing...

Okay, well, as it seems that Ledgendt has completely forgotten about this blog and his responsibilities, I'm probably going to have to reach into my past and pull out another one of my proposed backlogged hobbies until he remembers about his music duties and gets on that. Sorry about this, I promise, I'll kick him in the face or punch him in the throat next time I see him if he hasn't updated by then. Again, sorry for the inconvenience...please don't leave us.

GEN - Hobby Ideas and Rules

Hey there, this is where I post a reminder for all you first time visitors and whatnot that I'm currently accepting ideas for cool new hobbies to try out. Just send any ideas you may have over to atleastonceblog@gmail.com and I'll read it within a day or two. The rules are quite simple, and they basically just say one thing, use your brain.

1) It cannot, in any way, shape, or form, seriously (sort of is okay, just not seriously, and no, I'm not joking) endanger my life. If there is a 30% chance or above of me dying while doing it, I'm not doing it.
2) It must be affordable on a budget of approximately $0 a month. That's right. No matter what it is, I should be able to accomplish it for free.
3) Think about the hobby before you send it. Like right now, it's winter and we have about a foot of snow here, so don't send me water/swimming related stuff until at least April.
4) It should not be illegal. If what you are asking me to do is illegal in the state of Michigan (such as a married woman going to get a haircut without her husband's permission. No kidding, that's actually a law here. Not like it's enforced, but still) I won't do it, and if it's a generally illegal thing, like rob a bank, kill a man, or steal an identity, I won't hesitate to forward your email to the proper authorities, so be expecting that knock on your door, and have your hard drive in your microwave already.

I think that's about it, as far as rules go. If I think of a new one, I'll post it here, and then throw up an update saying "Rule added" or something. Thanks, see you all later.

ALO - Music Mayhem

Hey there, I know this is coming a bit later than promised. It's not because of anything you all did or anything Google did, I've just had a lot going on lately. Sorry about that. Anyway, as you may or may not be able to tell, we're starting a new hobby today. I don't know why I keep using words that start with the same letter, it just seems like something I should do.

Anyway, yes, friends, it is time to start my music phase. As I said in my last post on free running, I discovered an audio sequencing program under the title of Fruity Loops Studio, or FL Studio. Almost immediately after hearing about it, I had downloaded the trial version and was trying out various things. I only ever made one decent tune, and I've lost it, but Ledgendt took this hobby and ran with it. As such, if I can actually get him to write some stuff, the majority of this phase will be written by the man, the legend, Ledgendt.
